Showing California state rules because a local rule change is pending
A local rule change is pending. The County says it has updated its ADU ordinance for state law, but its ADU page shows a placeholder for the signed ordinance. Parcels in the Lake Tahoe Basin are also under Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) rules. We'll add the new local rules after they take effect and we've reviewed them.
